Superintendent Update

Good Afternoon, Warren Students, Families, and Staff,

We have some very important and timely information to share.

MSD Warren Township is excited to invite our families, students, staff, and community members to the upcoming Community Engagement Sessions on September 22, 23, and 24.

The purpose of these sessions is to gather input as we consider important updates to our district through the Enrollment Management and Redistricting Plan, which focuses on four key areas:

  1. Balancing enrollment across our 9 elementary schools

Creating more consistent class sizes and making the best use of our resources.

  2. Considering a move of 5th-grade students back into elementary schools

Supporting student belonging, learning, and family preferences.

  3. Reviewing school start times at the elementary, middle, and high school levels

Ensuring schedules align with student needs and transportation efficiency.

  4. Exploring ways to strengthen services for elementary high-ability students

Improving learning opportunities and experiences for advanced learners.

These sessions are a chance for you to share your ideas, ask questions, and help shape the future of our schools.

You are welcome to join one, two, or all three meetings. Spanish translation will be available at each community engagement session.

Parent / Caregiver Teacher Conferences

The success of our students is grounded in the strong partnership between our teachers and families. Building on Warren’s strong tradition of families engaging in this process, we have scheduled our District-wide Parent/Caregiver-Teacher Conferences for the evening of Thursday, October 2nd, and the morning of Friday, October 3rd.

Please note that there will be no school for students on Friday, October 3rd, to ensure ample time for parents/caregivers and teachers to meet and collaborate.

Information on how to sign up for a conference time will be shared in the coming weeks directly from your child’s school. Attached here is the 2025-2026 school year calendar.

Student, Staff, and School Safety

The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority in every Warren school and classroom. Our safety protocols are regularly reviewed and updated to meet the highest standards, ensuring that we are prepared to respond effectively to any situation. From maintaining secure facilities to practicing emergency drills, we take every precaution to create a safe environment for everyone.

We also rely on the continued partnership of our families, students, and staff. Staying alert, reporting concerns, and encouraging open communication are essential to keeping our schools safe. Below are several ways you can help us in this shared responsibility:

  • Contact your child’s teacher or principal through email, phone, or in person.

  • Report a safety concern or bullying incident by calling

    317-532-3049

    or by completing our

    online safety form

    .

A District staff member will follow up with you as soon as possible.

  • Use the

    HELPme

    app

, now available to all Warren students, families, and staff:

  • GET HELP: Submit anonymous help requests to Warren school contacts, including Messenger for two-way anonymous communication.

    • CRISIS TEXT LINE: Connect directly with trained, non-local crisis counselors.

    • GET RESOURCES: Access local, state, and federal resources and helplines.

  • Contact the Warren Police Department at

    317-532-5643

    or

    police@warren.k12.in.us

    .

  • Call 911 in any emergency.

Together, through proactive communication and awareness, we can ensure that our schools remain safe and supportive places for everyone.

The musical is set in the Jazz Age of the 1920s, and tells the story of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two women on trial for murder, who compete for fame and attention while seeking legal representation and media manipulation to avoid punishment. The Teen Edition makes the content more suitable for a younger audience by removing explicit content and language from the original show. It is not recommended for children under 13. Reserved seating tickets are now on sale, and are $12 for adults and $10 for students & faculty (with ID). You can purchase Chicago Tickets here.
